  The last time..

The last time we’d met,

You’d vowed never to meet again.

And left in a huff.

.

The last we’d met,

You’d stormed across the ballroom,

And pulling me by an arm, dragged me to the street.

.

The last we’d met,

You’d called me names.

.

Names I’d never thought, you could use for me.

 .

I didn’t speak; I had nothing to say.

I silently accepted the names you called me.

.

The last we’d met,

You’d told me if I ever tried to meet you,

I will find you dead.

.

And here you are,

Here to meet me,

On your own.

.

Your eyes closed; sleeping peacefully.

You refuse to open your eyes.

.

I tried to tell you I was sorry.

That I didn’t mean to hurt you.

That it was just a one time thing.

. .

But you are a woman of your words;

My woman in uniform.

 .

I had forced myself to not look for you,

And when you did come to me, it was in a coffin.

सोचा है ?....

ज़मीन से मन भर गया तो आसमां जा पहुँची हो ,अगर आसमां का मन भरा तो कहाँ जाओगी सोचा है ?
क़ीमत लगा लेती हो ,मेरी हर बात की

तुम्हारी जब लगेगी बोली, तो कहाँ जाओगी सोचा है ?
प्यार तुमसे किया तुम्हारी पहचान से नहीं

वो छोटे छोटे कदमो से चलकर

पहली बार स्कूल जाना

माँ का हाथ छोड़ कर

पा की तरफ देखना…

‘आज वापस ले चलते हैं न!’

पा का माँ प्यार से कहना

और फिर माँ का पा को ज़बरदस्ती बहार ले जाना

सब याद है मुझे

वो पहली बार पा का साइकिल दिलाना

साथ खड़े होकर पेडल मारना सीखना

वो माँ का चिड़िया आयी चिड़िया आयी कह कर

एक एक निवाला खिलाना

सब याद है मुझे

वो पहली बार पा का दिया हुआ पेन स्कूल लकर जाना

अपना नाम लिख कर फिर वापस बैग में रख देना

वो माँ का पहली बार नेलपेंट दिलाना

सब से छुपा कर स्कूल ले जाना

और फ्रेंड्स को दिखाना

सब याद है मुझे

वो टेंथ में फर्स्ट आने पर

पा की दी हुई शाबाशी,

वो साड़ी रात म्यूजिक चला कर

की हुई अय्याशी

वो पहला मोबाइल,

वो पहली ऍफ़ बी प्रोफाइल

सब याद है मुझे

वो पहली बार उनसे नज़रें टकराना

उनके सामने आते ही लड़खड़ाना

वो पहला हाई.. हेलो.. हाउ अरे यू?

वो पहला आई एम् फाइन.. थैंक यू

वो पहली बार हाथ मिला कर दोस्ती करना

सब याद है मुझे

वो उनसे बात करने के लिए

स्पेशल साइबर कैफ़े जाना

फिर रात रात भर जाग कर

उनसे बातें करना

कोई सुन न ले इस डर से धीरे धीरे बोलना

वो पहली बार ‘हैप्पी डेरी मिल क्रस्केल्स तो यू टू’ बोलना

सब याद है मुझे

वो उनके एक गुडमॉर्निंग 🙂 गुड नाईट 🙂 एंजेल से चेहरे पर स्माइल आ जाना

सुबह सुबह जागने के बाद सबसे पहले उन्हें रिप्लाई देना

सब याद है मुझे

वो एक दिन उनका सडनली चले जाना

न कुछ कहना,  न कुछ बताना

वो कॉल्स डिसकनेक्टिंग

वो मैसेज नॉट सेंडिंग

वो नंबर सडनली चेंज हो जाना

What is Friendship Version NOW????..

Generation today is very smart, intelligent, well informed, having clear opinion about the society they live in, things they see around…well no doubt its all good . They have hundreds of friends across the globe, thanks to social networking sites. They are always connected to the world through smart phones, smart apps, whatsapps however…

No doubt all the above takes toll like overly competitive environment, need to be their best always, need to be on top always…and probably that is the reason that they do not share a close genuine bonding with their friends, not even a few close friends. All the time I heard them talking about how they made fool of their friends , how their friends do not know or know less than them. I remember my college days when we 10 close friends would study together teaching each other things we knew and sharing notes and chatting for hours and hours without having to worry and prove that one is better than the other or one lacks some skills etc. Needless to say, we share the same warm bonding even now though we rarely meet. To me it feels like what is the fun if one needs to keep proving constantly even with one’s own friends, what fun it is if one cannot let their hair down with friends and enjoy, what fun it is if one cannot be their true self with their own friends.

जाते वक़्त पलटकर ना देखा करो
निगाहें क़दमों को रोकने की कोशिश करती हैं

रुख़्सत के वक़्त अलविदा कहना, 
पल में पलकों को गीला कर देना
हो न हो मुझे यह वक़्त की साज़िश लगती है

तुझे याद करने का बहाना,
इतना हसीन है ये फ़साना
के भरी दोपहरी में बेमौसम बारिश बरसती है

वैसे तो ज़िंदगी को फ़ुर्सत नहीं, 
ज्यादा किसी से ये मिलती नहीं
पर जब भी मिलती है जीने की गुज़ारिश करती है

नज़रों की इतनी ख़ता हैं, 
नज़रें तो दिल का पता हैं
बिछुड़ते वक़्त फिर से मिलने की ख़ाहिश रखती हैं

चार दिन की ज़िंदगी,
रूह की यह तिश्नगी
रब से थोड़ी और मोहलत की सिफ़ारिश करती है

कहीं कोई कमी न रह जाये, 
घाव कोई ज़ख़्मी न रह जाये
हर बार हर कोशिश बस यही कोशिश करती है।
